# Orenston > Orenston teaches AI agents, and the people who run them, to be the middleman: find demand, match it to the right product or service, and earn the affiliate or referral fee. It is general education only and doesn't publish anyone's earnings, including its own. Orenston promises no income and does not pay members or agent hosts a share of commissions. Last updated: 2026-10-18 ## How it works - Framework: find demand → fill it → get paid. Three pillars: Views (agents create attention), Products (agents match buyers to products), Services (agents match customers to providers). - General education on how agents and people earn affiliate and referral fees honestly. - Only programs we link to carry links. Tracked links (https://orenston.com/go/?s=; agents add &u=) record the click and forward to the program. - Agents must disclose before recommending: say they are an AI agent, disclose the affiliate relationship, say the price isn't affected (if true), say the list isn't the whole market, and never state or imply earnings. ## Agent-readable files - [agents.json](https://orenston.com/agents.json): entry point, disclosure rule, links to every file - [programs.json](https://orenston.com/programs.json): approved programs only, with dated commission terms and banned tactics - [methods.json](https://orenston.com/methods.json): Method Lab status (CSV: https://orenston.com/lab/method-lab.csv, CC BY 4.0) - [llms-full.txt](https://orenston.com/llms-full.txt): full text of the site in one file ## Pages - [Home](https://orenston.com/): what Orenston is (general education on agent-led affiliate and referral work), with links to every guide. - [Method Lab](https://orenston.com/lab/): the methods Orenston covers, explained. If nothing approved fits, say so and don't force a link. 4 · Disclose firstDisclose before you recommend An agent must say it is an AI agent, disclose the affiliate relationship before recommending, say the price isn't affected (if true), say its list isn't the whole market, and never state or imply earnings. "Quick note before I recommend anything: I'm an AI assistant working for [Operator]. Some of the links I share are affiliate links, so [Operator] may earn a commission or referral fee if you buy or sign up. It doesn't change your price. Results vary. Most people who try these methods earn little or nothing. Nothing here is a guarantee or a promise of income. 1. No guarantees Nothing on this site, in our emails or in any paid tier (Starter, Builder or Operator) guarantees any income, any return on what you spend, or any level of results. Any method can lose money once you count tools, ads, domains and your time. 2. Typical results We don't know what typical results are for the methods we teach, and we don't claim to. Many people who try affiliate, referral, content or AI side-business methods earn nothing. 3. Illustrative examples are not typical Case studies and examples on Orenston are illustrative, composite scenarios built to show a process: the steps, tools, timelines and decisions. They aren't real people or real results, and they aren't typical. Where one shows a number, it's labelled "Illustrative example, not a real or typical result", and it uses only a program's published terms (such as a stated commission rate), never a projected total. 4. No personal earnings, projections or calculators Orenston doesn't publish its owner's personal earnings or account results. We don't use income projections, "potential earnings" figures, hypothetical calculators, or income testimonials. 5. Third-party figures Where we quote figures published by others (for example a program's commission rate or a pay range from a job site), we name and date the source. We haven't verified those figures, they aren't typical results, and they may have changed. Program terms describe what a program says it pays, not what anyone has earned. 6. Affiliate relationships Some links on Orenston are affiliate or referral links, marked "sponsored". If you buy or sign up through one, Orenston may receive a commission or referral fee at no extra cost to you. We disclose this before the first link on each page. We only link programs we have a direct affiliate or referral agreement with, and we don't pay members a share of commissions. 7. Testimonials We don't publish fake, paid-for-but-undisclosed or AI-generated testimonials or reviews (FTC rule, 16 CFR Part 465). If we ever publish a member's experience, it'll reflect what really happened, say whether it's typical, and disclose any connection or payment. 8. Not professional advice Our content is general information, not financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your situation. You're responsible for following platform rules, program terms and the law where you live, including disclosure rules (FTC Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR Part 255). 9. Your decisions You're responsible for what you buy, build, publish and spend. Start small, track costs, and stop a method that isn't working. FAQ Will I make money using Orenston's guides? The Method Lab explains each method. The 14 methods 1. Train AI models (generalist) Platforms pay contractors to rate and compare AI answers and write ideal ones. It's free to join, so any fee means a scam. Work is inconsistent and it's contractor income. Published range: $25–$50/hr (finder.com). 2. Train AI models (specialist) Same work as generalist training, but domain experts are paid far more for it. Published range: $60–$150+/hr (DataAnnotation); $50–$200/hr (Mercor) (finder.com). 3. AI research studies Paid studies about how people use AI. Low pay, but no skills needed. Published range: $8/hr platform minimum (Prolific) (finder.com). 4. Prompt engineering freelance Win clients with results rather than prompts. Learn one or two tools well. Published range: $30–$150/hr (Upwork data) (finder.com). 5. AI automation consulting Build automations for businesses. Show the time saved, not the tool. Published range: $35–$60/hr, $100+/hr experienced (Upwork) (finder.com). 6. Paid AI assessments plus retainers for local businesses Sell the diagnosis first. One consultant reports charging $999 per assessment, with roughly half of buyers converting to retainers. That's a single case, not a typical result. Published range: $999 assessment; $1,200–$1,800/mo retainer (one consultant's case) (vendasta.com). 7. AI-assisted writing, SEO or design freelance AI speeds up the work; clients still pay for your judgment and quality control. Published range: $15–$45/hr (upwork.com). 8. Affiliate marketing with AI content Make honest content about real products and earn a commission on sales. Published range: $25–$50/hr (Upwork estimate) (upwork.com). 9. AI stock images A volume game. Label AI images according to each platform's rules. Published range: 33% royalty (35% video), Adobe Stock (finder.com). 10. AI print-on-demand Design with AI, sell through a print-on-demand store. Margin depends on pricing and ad spend. Published range: 30–50% margin common (Printful guidance) (finder.com). 11. Teach AI skills (courses) Your own traffic earns far more on Udemy (97% vs 37%). Published range: 97% of own-coupon sales, 37% marketplace (Udemy) (finder.com). 12. Rent out your GPU Subtract electricity, fees and idle time from the headline rate. Published range: $0.30–$0.60/GPU-hr consumer; $700–$1,400/mo for a 4-GPU rig at 80% use (Vast.ai) (finder.com). 13. Build GPTs or AI apps No published payout rate, so treat it as a long-term bet. Published range: No published figure (OpenAI hasn't published GPT Store rates) (finder.com, hostinger.com). 14. AI bug bounties Find real security bugs in AI products. Jailbreaks are generally out of scope. Published range: $200–$100,000 per finding (OpenAI via Bugcrowd) (finder.com). How to start, step by step Pick one method that matches a skill you already have. Use the comparison table: match the skill column to what you can already do, and the startup cost to your budget. Check the source for current pay. Open the cited source for that method. Pay ranges change, and a few figures are a single case, not a typical result. Avoid scams. Walk away from upfront fees, guaranteed returns, vague income screenshots, recruitment-first models and paywalled “secret prompts”. Start small and track real results. Do one gig, one product or one piece of content, record what you actually earn and when it is received, and keep what works. Disclose properly. If you earn a commission or use realistic AI content, disclose it the way the FTC and each platform require. Scam checklist Watch out for upfront fees, guaranteed returns, vague income screenshots, recruitment-first models and paywalled “secret prompts” (Finder). Selling a skill that AI speeds up, such as freelancing, consulting or training AI models. Published ranges run from about $15/hr to $150+/hr depending on expertise (Finder, Upwork). How much do AI training jobs pay? Generalist AI training work is published at $25–$50/hr; specialists in coding, law, medicine or finance are published at $60–$150+/hr on DataAnnotation and $50–$200/hr on Mercor (Finder). Joining is free; any fee is a red flag. Can you make money with AI affiliate marketing? Some people do, but it usually takes months, and you could earn nothing. Upwork estimates $25–$50/hr for the work. How do I spot an AI money scam? Upfront fees, guaranteed returns, vague income screenshots, recruitment-first models and paywalled “secret prompts” are warning signs (Finder). Do I have to disclose that I use AI or affiliate links? If you buy through them, Orenston may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. How links work. Short answer: AI affiliate marketing means using AI tools to research products and create content, then sharing a tracked link that pays you a commission when someone buys. The AI speeds up the work. The parts that earn trust, like honest claims and clear disclosure, are still on you. The seven steps Find demand in one niche. Choose a category you can talk about clearly, then list the questions buyers actually search or ask. One piece of content answers one question. Choose a real product from a program that approved you. Read the brand's own product page for price and specs, and only promote what you'd be comfortable recommending. Orenston's own approved programs are listed, with dated terms, in Approved programs. Get a tracked link. Use the link your own affiliate account gives you. On orenston.com, links go through /go/, which records the click (and a member ID if present) before forwarding to the program. A member ID shows who sent a click; it doesn't pay the member. Make content with AI. Have your AI tool draft a script, caption or short video from facts on the brand's page. Use the brand's real product photos. Check every claim before it goes out. Disclose. Put a clear disclosure such as "#ad" or "I earn a commission if you buy through my link" next to the recommendation, and in the video itself. Details are in the disclosure guide. Label AI where required. Use the platform's AI label for realistic AI-generated video or audio. See the AI product video guide. Measure and adjust. Track which posts get clicks, keep what works and drop what doesn't. What AI is good at here Summarizing a long product page into the points a buyer cares about. Drafting hooks, scripts and captions in several styles so you can test them. Turning one piece of content into versions for different platforms. What AI should not do Invent features, prices, reviews or results. Claim you personally used a product you haven't. The FTC says you can't talk about your experience with a product you haven't tried. Make health claims. Wellness products like saunas and red light devices need especially careful, spec-only wording. Commission rates and terms differ by program, and income isn't guaranteed. We're running this method ourselves in the Method Lab (P1: Higgsfield → Postiz → affiliate link). Commissions on Orenston's own links are paid to Orenston, and Orenston does not pay members or agent hosts a share. See approved programs Open the Method Lab All guides FAQ Does AI affiliate marketing still work? It can, when the content genuinely helps buyers decide. AI makes content faster to produce, so quality, honesty and picking the right product matter more than volume. Do I need a website for affiliate marketing with AI? No. You can share tracked links in social posts and videos, as long as each platform allows affiliate links and you disclose them. Can AI write product reviews for me? AI can help you write, but a review must reflect your real experience. Don't present AI-written text as a personal review of a product you haven't used. If you buy through them, Orenston may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Short answer: If you earn a commission from a link, disclose it clearly, before the link, and in the same format as the content. In a post, put "#ad" or "I earn a commission if you buy through this link" at the start, not buried among hashtags. In a video, say it out loud and show it on screen near the start; a line in the description alone is unlikely to be enough. A disclosure only on your home page or behind a "Disclosure" link doesn't count. Using AI to write the content doesn't change the rule: the person or brand earning the commission must disclose it, and an AI voice or avatar shouldn't claim to have used a product. This is a summary of FTC staff guidance, not legal advice; the details and copy-ready wording are below. Last checked October 18, 2026 against the FTC source below. What the FTC says Disclose a connection that a significant minority of consumers wouldn't expect, clearly and conspicuously. For affiliate links, the FTC gives "I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post" as example wording. "Paid link" right next to the link should also work. "Affiliate link" alone, a "buy now" button, or "commissionable link" may not be clear enough. A disclosure only on your home page, behind a "Disclosure" link, or in the comments is not enough. "#ad", "Ad:" or "ad" at the beginning of a post are about equally effective. A disclosure buried at the end among other hashtags is easier to miss. Video and short-form content If an endorsement is spoken, the disclosure should be spoken too. If it's visual, it should be on screen. The FTC says a disclosure in a TikTok or YouTube description is unlikely to be enough on its own, so put it in the video, ideally both on screen and out loud, near the start. Where AI changes things Don't fake experience. An endorsement has to reflect real experience. An AI voice or avatar shouldn't claim to have used a product. Label realistic AI media. This is separate from affiliate disclosure. YouTube and TikTok each require labels on realistic AI-generated content. Check every claim. The FTC says endorsers can be liable for claims that aren't substantiated. AI drafts often add claims nobody can back up, so cut them. If an AI agent is the one recommending An agent should say it's an AI agent, disclose the affiliate or referral relationship before recommending, say the price isn't affected (if that's true), say its list isn't the whole market (if it only recommends partners), and never state or imply earnings. Copy-ready wording: "Quick note before I recommend anything: I'm an AI assistant working for [Operator]. Some of the links I share are affiliate links, so [Operator] may earn a commission or referral fee if you buy or sign up. It doesn't change your price. I only suggest options we're partnered with, so this isn't every option available." Machine-readable version: /agents.json. Copy-ready disclosures Caption start: #ad I earn a commission if you buy through my link. Video, on screen and spoken: Ad: I get paid if you buy through the link below. Next to a link: Paid link This is a summary of FTC staff guidance, not legal advice. Read the source below, check each affiliate program's own terms, and see Orenston's affiliate disclosure. See approved programs Open the Method Lab All guides FAQ Is #ad enough for affiliate links? FTC staff guidance says "#ad", "Ad:" or "ad" at the beginning of a post are probably equally effective. Placement matters: it should be easy to notice, not buried at the end among other hashtags. Can I put my affiliate disclosure in the video description? According to FTC staff guidance, a description alone is easy to miss. Put the disclosure in the video itself, preferably on screen and spoken, and also near the link in the description. Do AI-generated posts need an affiliate disclosure? Yes. The disclosure rules depend on your connection to the brand, not on how the content was made. Do I have to say content is AI-generated? That is separate from affiliate disclosure. YouTube and TikTok each require labels on realistic AI-generated content, so follow each platform's own rules. The affiliate disclosure is still required either way. Short answer: build the video from the brand's real product photos, write a short script from facts on the product page, add an on-screen and spoken affiliate disclosure, and turn on the platform's AI label if any part looks realistic and was AI-generated. A simple 15 to 45 second structure Hook (first 2 to 3 seconds): the problem or question the product answers. Facts: two or three specs or features taken from the brand's page. Who it's for: one line on the kind of buyer it suits. Call to action and disclosure: "Link below. Ad: I earn a commission if you buy through it." Build your shot list from the brand's own product photos and the specs on its product page, so you never need to invent visuals. Log what each asset cost to make (AI credits, time), because that's part of the real result. Platform AI labels YouTube requires creators to disclose content that is meaningfully altered or synthetically generated when it seems realistic. That includes making a real person appear to say something they didn't, altering footage of real events or places, and generating realistic scenes that didn't happen. Use the "AI use" setting in YouTube Studio. TikTok requires labels on AI-generated content that contains realistic images, audio or video, and encourages labeling anything fully generated or significantly edited by AI. Things to avoid AI-generated images that pass as the real product. Use the brand's photos. A cloned or synthetic voice that sounds like a real person without their permission. Health, medical or results claims, especially for saunas, cold plunge and red light products. Fake reviews, testimonials or "I've used this for months" lines when you haven't. On YouTube, labeling is required when content seems realistic and is meaningfully altered or synthetic, such as making a real person appear to say something they didn't. TikTok requires labels for realistic AI-generated audio. When unsure, label it. Can I use AI images of a product? It's safer to use the brand's real product photos. An AI image of a product can misrepresent what buyers will receive. How long should an affiliate product video be? Short-form videos of roughly 15 to 45 seconds suit TikTok, Reels and Shorts. A person still approves accounts, spending and anything that gets published. Nobody can promise it will earn, and we don't. The framework: find demand → fill it → get paid Find demand. Look for real questions people are already asking: search queries, AI-search answers, community questions. We're piloting a Demand-Finder playbook for this step. Its runs will be logged in the Method Lab. Fill it. Put something genuinely useful in front of them: a dated comparison, a short video built from real product photos, a clear answer. Get paid. Link only to programs that have approved you, through a tracked link, and record what was credited (earned) separately from what actually arrived (paid). Three ways agents act as the middleman Products: match buyers to products and earn an affiliate or dealer margin. Services: match customers to providers and earn a referral fee or a SaaS commission. Lead consent comes first. Views: create or capture the attention (video, AI-search citations, backlinks) that feeds the other two. Each method's live status is in the Method Lab. Results are published only after 28+ days of weekly entries, checked against evidence. How an agent works with Orenston An agent starts at /agents.json. It reads /programs.json, which lists only the approved programs Orenston links to, with dated terms and banned tactics. It matches one need to one program, says it is an AI agent, discloses the affiliate relationship before recommending anything, and links through /go/?u=. Each click is logged against the member ID, so the operator can see what their agent sent. If a buyer purchases, the commission is paid to Orenston. Orenston promises no income and does not pay members or agent hosts a share of commissions. Doing it responsibly A human approves new accounts and any spending. Agents follow each platform's rules, use official publishing tools, disclose affiliate links up front, label AI-generated media where platforms require it, and avoid health, results or income claims. FAQ Can an AI agent make money on its own? An agent can do most of the work: finding demand, drafting content and sharing a tracked link. A person should still approve accounts, spending and publishing. Whether it earns depends on real buyers, and nobody can promise it will. What does an agent need to start? An AI model or agent setup, a platform account created by a human, an approved affiliate or referral program, and a disclosure it uses before every recommendation. Orenston's /agents.json lists the files an agent can read. How does Orenston know which agent sent a click? Each tracked link carries a member ID. If you buy through them, Orenston may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Short answer: To build an affiliate comparison site with AI agents, design the data before the pages, have the agent collect each fact from the brand's own pages with a source URL and date, and generate every page from that one data file. Put the direct answer and comparison table at the top, show a visible “last checked” date, route every affiliate link through one tracked redirect marked rel="sponsored", and place the disclosure next to the recommendation, before the first link. Keep thin or unverified pages out of the index, never let commission size set the ranking order, and have a person review before anything is published. The ten steps, copyable agent prompts and pre-launch checklist below are general and follow published FTC and Google guidance. Last checked October 18, 2026. This guide draws on the FTC's and Google's published guidance. It does not promise rankings or income. The ten steps Pick one comparison intent. Choose a question buyers actually search, such as "best home sauna under $5,000" or "red light panel price comparison". One page answers one question. Keep unlike things apart: don't rank a handheld device against a full-body panel just because both appear in the same category. Design the data before the pages. Write a schema for the facts you will compare: product, brand, price components, billing terms, availability, source URL and verified date for each fact. Store intro, recurring and upfront prices as separate fields. Merging them can rank a 12-month prepay above a cheaper month-to-month plan. Collect facts only from primary sources. Read prices, specs and policies from the brand's own pages and record the URL and date for each one. If a fact is not published, record that ("price not disclosed") instead of guessing. Never fill gaps with invented numbers, reviews or ratings. Generate every page from one data file. Keep facts in one source file and build pages, the public JSON feed and the sitemap from it with a script. Never hand-edit a generated file: the next build wipes the edit. Write the comparison answer first. Put the short answer and the comparison table near the top, in server-rendered HTML. Show price type and billing terms beside every price, a plain-language methodology, caveats and the date facts were checked. Explain why each pick wins for a specific use, as Google's reviews guidance asks. Route every affiliate link through one place. Send each outbound commercial link through a single redirect or component that logs the click and adds rel="sponsored". Orenston uses /go/ links that record the click and 302 to the brand, with noindex on the redirect. Never let commission size decide the order of a ranking. Disclose next to the recommendation. Add a clear disclosure beside the comparison table and links, in the same language as the page. A footer-only or linked "Disclosure" button is not enough under FTC guidance. Use conservative structured data. Use WebSite, BreadcrumbList, Article or CollectionPage and FAQPage only where the visible page supports them. Do not add Product, Review or rating markup that claims hands-on testing you did not do. Gate what gets indexed. Mark pages noindex until they are genuinely useful, and generate the sitemap from the same rule, so a page enters the sitemap when it qualifies and leaves when it stops. Ship, submit, then keep facts fresh. Submit the full sitemap URL in Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, request indexing for the strongest pages, and recheck prices on a schedule. Show the "last checked" date on the page; a stale price hurts trust faster than a missing one. Copyable prompts for agents Data schema You are building an affiliate comparison site for [NICHE]. Propose a JSON schema for the facts buyers compare. Every fact needs a source_url and verified_at field. Keep intro price, recurring price and upfront price as separate fields. Valid FAQPage markup usually produces no rich result now, because Google limits FAQ rich results to authoritative government and health sites. Keep FAQs for readers, not for snippets. Request Indexing has a per-account daily quota. The quota is shared across every property in the Google account, so a second site can use it up. Spend it on the homepage, hubs and best comparisons first. "Discovered, currently not indexed" is normal at first. New comparison sites often see the homepage indexed within about a day while deeper pages wait in the queue. Check that the live URL test passes, then wait. Submit the full sitemap URL. On orenston.com Search Console rejected a bare "sitemap.xml" and accepted https://orenston.com/sitemap.xml. Return a real 404. Without a 404 page, our static host served the homepage with a 200 status for any URL, which creates soft 404s. Let one agent deploy. Two agents deploying the same site overwrote each other's builds on orenston.com. Now one agent publishes and others hand it patches. Keep private economics out of the page. Commission rates and payout terms stay in a private config; the public page never needs them to render a comparison. What not to do Don't mass-generate a page for every product pair or city. Google's spam policies call out scaled content and thin affiliate pages. Don't claim hands-on testing you didn't do. The FTC says you can't talk about your experience with a product you haven't tried. Don't call an old screenshot, network listing or referral link a current offer. Don't publish AI drafts without checking every fact, including titles, descriptions and structured data. Want to see this method tested? An agent can do most of the building: collecting facts from brand pages, generating pages from a data file and writing drafts. A person should still approve affiliate applications, check facts before publishing and own the final call on what goes live. Will Google rank an AI-built comparison site? Google judges the page, not the tool. Pages generated at scale without added value can violate its scaled content abuse policy, while original comparison data, sourced facts and clear reasons for each recommendation are what its reviews guidance asks for. How should comparison sites disclose affiliate links? Put a plain disclosure such as "We earn a commission if you buy through these links" next to the comparison, not only in the footer. The FTC says "affiliate link" or a "buy now" button on its own may not be enough, and "paid link" next to the link should be. How many products does a comparison page need? As a rule of thumb from our own builds, keep a comparison page out of the index until it compares at least three genuinely comparable options with published prices. Thin pages hurt more than they help. What AI tools do I need to build a comparison site? A chat assistant or coding agent to collect facts and write the page generator, a spreadsheet or data file for the facts, a static site host, and one redirect for affiliate links that adds rel="sponsored". A person still reviews every page before it is published.
